Steve A. Davis was born April 14, 1956 in Kirbyville, Texas.  He is the third of six children of Derward and Bertha Davis.  He attended public schools in Port Neches, Texas.  He is an Eagle Scout and received the God and Country Award.  He attended United Pentecostal Churches in Bon Weir, Port Neches, and Groves, Texas. Brother Davis received the baptism of the Holy Ghost and was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ at a Texas church camp in June 1968.

In June 1975, Brother Davis married the former Beth Burnett, who like himself, is a fourth generation Pentecostal.  They are the parents of four children, sons Chad, Landon, and Carson, and daughter Brittany. Their ten grandchildren are the sixth generation in the family to have the privilege of carrying the torch of Pentecostal truth.

After earning his ThB from Texas Bible College in 1978, he attended the University of St. Thomas, Houston, Texas until 1981.  After the completion of his 300+ page thesis, he received his Masters of Religious Education  in July 1986.  In July 1986, he also received his diploma for Parts and Service Automotive Management from General Motors University, Flint, Michigan, Arlington, Texas Branch.  He later attended Westark Community College and other Arkansas Colleges to qualify for state certification as a Social Studies teacher at the Secondary level.  Brother Davis also served as an instructor for Texas Bible Colleges Excel Program for over five years. He earned an additional Masters Degree from Harding University.

While attending Texas Bible College in Houston, Texas, he was assistant pastor to Rev. John Mason, Jacinto City, Texas.  He has been pastor of the United Pentecostal Church in Van Buren, Arkansas, since October 1981.  Under his leadership, the church has been through several expansion programs.  More important than the building structures are the lives he has touched and reconstructed through God's grace.

While serving in the ministry, Brother Davis has held automotive management positions with K-Mart, Wal-Mart Corps, and several local new car dealerships.   Eventually, he made a career change and became employed by the Van Buren School District. In his over 25 years with the Van Buren School District he has held various positions. He has served as Janitor, Bus Driver, Study Hall Supervisor, Teacher, Principal and Director of the ALE Program. In 2006, during his time as a teacher, he received the honor of being named ALE Teacher of the year for the State of Arkansas. Currently, he is the Van Buren School District Attendance Administrator, Impact Director, Homeless Liaison, and District Military Education Coordinator.

From a humble beginning, in Bon Weir, Texas; where he lived in a happy shack with an out house at the corner of US 190 and S 1416, God has blessed beyond measure. Bro. Davis has not forgotten his roots and where he came from and is thankful for all those who helped shape his life. To Quote the Apostle Paul …."I am a debtor” Romans 1:14.
